Client Request: Post-production of Chroma Key Footage and Creation of Animated Backgrounds
In 2014, IDC Collective was approached by the Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH) to embark on a transformative creative journey. The mission was clear: to post-produce chroma key footage for a sign language production series dedicated to human rights for the deaf and hard of hearing community. This project was not just about content; it was about inclusion, accessibility, and innovation.
The Challenge: The client required a captivating background with animated elements that seamlessly synchronized with voice-over audios. The goal was to provide a visual aid that conveyed the essence of the articles about human rights to the sign language community.
Our Role: IDC Collective enthusiastically embraced the challenge. We offered a spectrum of creative services, including rotoscoping, cleanup, color correction, chroma keying, motion graphics, kinetic text animations, and video editing. This project demanded a fusion of technical expertise and creative flair to ensure the series effectively conveyed the essential message.
Collaboration: Working hand in hand with producer Ariel Vargas of CNDH, we were able to capture the heart of the human rights message and express it visually through sign language. We’d like to extend our special thanks to Ana Abadie for inviting us to be part of this groundbreaking project.
The IDC Collective team took every frame as an opportunity to make the series more engaging and meaningful. With meticulous attention to detail, we ensured that every sign, every gesture, and every animation perfectly complemented the narrative, making it more accessible and engaging for the deaf and hard of hearing community.
